Sky's the limit for Dubai as it breaks yet another remarkable record for the world’s largest flying video screen.
Stupendous! Isn’t it?
The force behind this record-breaking aerial projection, held to celebrate the Year of Zayed, was real estate developer Wasl Asset Management Group.
Towed by a Bell 212 Helicopter, 300-foot aerial screen, displaying a short film about Year of Zayed, hovered across Dubai skies and landed straight into the Guinness World Record book. The record breaking aerial screen started off it’s 90-minutes journey from Sky Dive Dubai, and then took to the skies above Dubai’s coast and then inland to reach Zabeel Park. The helicopter then soared over Dubai Creek and landed back at Skydive Dubai. The largest flying screen could be viewed from up to 3 kilometres away
The aerial filming provided it’s spectators a seamless opportunity to be a part of an impressive visual tribute to the Founding Father’s life and values. Also, huge screens were set up on ground at Dar Wasl and Wasl1 projects for them to watch the whole spectacular event live on air.
The event was also attended by Guinness World Records representatives who were present to document the achievement.
.“We are delighted to have celebrated the ‘Year of Zayed 2018’ in a memorable and ambitious way that captures the late Founding Father’s pioneering spirit and strengthens Dubai’s reputation as a leader in achieving world firsts," said Hesham Al Qassim, CEO of wasl Asset Management Group.
Before Dubai, only New York City has accomplished the achievement by taking 250 foot screen to the skies. Dubai beat the previous record by 50 feet.
