Dubai has announced a series of new senior appointments across several key government entities, reinforcing its ongoing efforts to drive excellence in public service and align with long-term strategic goals.
The appointments were confirmed by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The new leadership changes include:

Dr. Alawi Alsheikh Ali as Director General of the Dubai Health Authority.

His Excellency Eng. Marwan bin Ghalita, officially appointed as Director General of Dubai Municipality, after previously serving in an interim role.

His Excellency Omar Bushahab takes over as Director General of the Dubai Land Department and has also been appointed Chairman of the Board at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment. Mohammed Al Shehhi will serve as Acting CEO of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment.

In law enforcement, Major General Harib Mohammed Al Shamsi becomes Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Affairs, while Major General Ahmed Zaal Al Muhairi assumes the role of Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Administrative Affairs at Dubai Police.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan expressed confidence in the new leaders’ ability to contribute to Dubai’s vision and strategic plans, wishing them success in their new roles.
