Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has announced a new partnership with Parkin to improve parking management around educational institutions in the emirate.
The initiative aims to make parking easier for parents, students, staff, and visitors while helping reduce congestion during busy school hours.
Under the new system, parking operations around participating schools and universities will become more organised and digitally managed, improving traffic movement and reducing waiting times, while making parking easier and more affordable for parents, students, teachers and visitors.
Motorists will be able to access discounted monthly and annual parking subscriptions, with savings of up to 80% compared to standard parking rates.
Reduced-rate subscriptions will be available for eligible users at Dhs 100 per month or Dhs 1,000 annually, helping regular visitors avoid daily parking costs during the academic year.
The process has also been simplified through a more streamlined digital framework, reducing paperwork, speeding up approvals and removing the need for manual document submissions from educational institutions.
The move is expected to ease congestion during busy morning drop-offs and afternoon pick-up periods, creating smoother traffic movement around school zones.
The initiative forms part of Dubai’s wider efforts to improve mobility, reduce congestion and enhance the overall experience around educational institutions.
