More than 100,000 participants have logged over 220 million steps during the first two months of the second Dubai Mallathon, according to event organisers.

Launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, the summer health initiative offers free daily access to air-conditioned indoor walking and running tracks from 6am to 10am until 15 September.

To accommodate high demand, the footprint expanded on 1 August to include Gate Avenue at DIFC, followed by Ibn Battuta Mall on 17 August. Dubai International Airport (DXB) also introduced internal walking routes during August for staff and airport workers, supporting the city's broader Quality of Life Strategy 2033.

Participants can collect a free event wristband at any venue without prior registration, granting access to local store discounts alongside weekend fitness challenges.
