Dubai Police have successfully recovered and returned a handbag filled with silver bars valued at around Dhs 2 million after it was misplaced by a passenger at Dubai International Airport (DXB).
The incident happened at Terminal 1 when a traveller reported losing a black handbag shortly before boarding his flight. Officers immediately launched a search operation after reviewing the passenger’s movements through the terminal.
According to Dubai Police, patrol teams quickly located the missing bag and confirmed it contained high-value silver bullion. The items were safely returned to the owner after legal ownership checks were completed.
The passenger praised officers for their rapid response and professionalism, while Dubai Police highlighted the efficiency of security teams working across the airport.
DXB remains one of the busiest travel hubs in the world, handling millions of passengers each year.
