US President Donald Trump has been awarded the ‘Order of Zayed’, the UAE’s highest civilian honour granted to heads of state, by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, in recognition of his efforts to strengthen bilateral ties between the two nations.

The prestigious decoration was presented at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi during an official ceremony that marked a key moment in Trump’s ongoing tour of the Gulf region. The ceremony served as both a diplomatic gesture and a public acknowledgement of Trump's continued role in fostering regional partnerships during his second presidential term.

Named after the UAE’s founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the award is given to world leaders and dignitaries who have made significant contributions to advancing the UAE’s strategic relations.

The UAE is the final stop on President Trump’s three-nation Gulf tour, which included prior visits to Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Upon his arrival at Abu Dhabi Presidential Terminal, Trump was received with full honours by the leaders and officials of the nation.

As part of the visit, Trump also toured the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, one of the UAE’s most iconic landmarks, underscoring the cultural and diplomatic significance of the trip.
