Emirati Astronaut Shares Selfies From Space

Sultan Al Neyadi, the Emirati astronaut currently on a 6 month mission on board the International Space Station (ISS) shared selfies from space.

The selfies show a glimpse of what the Earth looks like from the ISS.

The space selfies were shared after Sultan Al Neyadi had a conversation with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, where he congratulated Sultan for his successful docking and for making the UAE proud.

Crew-6, led by Sultan Al Neyadi, includes astronaut Stephen Bowen, Spacecraft Commander at NASA, astronaut Warren Hoburg, Pilot at NASA, and cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev, Mission Specialist at Roscosmos, and took off on Thursday, 2 March, at 9.34am UAE time, at the Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

The Emirati astronaut is currently on the first Arab long-duration mission, where the astronauts will participate in conducting research during the six-month-long mission.
