Dubai International Airport (DXB) welcomed 31.5 million passengers during the first six months of 2026, demonstrating steady month-on-month momentum following airspace constraints in the earlier part of the year.
Traffic expanded across the second quarter, rising from 3.5 million guests in April to 4.5 million in May and reaching 5 million in June. The quarterly total of 13 million passengers reflects returning international airline capacity and growing transfer demand across key global markets.
Looking ahead to the winter schedule and Dubai’s upcoming calendar of business and leisure events, airport operations continue to deploy target upgrades.
During the first half of 2026, 98.98% of departing passengers cleared passport control in under 10 minutes, while 99.34% passed through security checkpoints in under five minutes and in that period DXB handled 30.3 million bags.
Nearly 50 international carriers now connect DXB to 217 destinations across 99 countries.
