Police in the UAE will be issuing ‘second chance’ traffic tickets during this Eid holiday.
Police in Ras Al Khaimah and Ajman have taken up new initiatives to create awareness on road safety among drivers this week instead of hitting them with penalty fines.
While in Ajman, the police have launched an Eid holiday scheme, called ‘Eid without traffic fines’, and police in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) have launched a new scheme, called ‘We give you another chance.’
In RAK, police officials will be issuing traffic tickets with a safety message in place of a financial penalty, and in Ajman 40 police patrols will be deployed to give road safety advice to drivers..
