Dubai Astronomy Group is hosting its final Milky Way observation night of the season on Saturday, 26 July, in Al Quaa Desert, Abu Dhabi. From 10pm to 2am, participants can witness the glowing heart of our galaxy, explore deep-sky objects through telescopes, and learn the basics of astrophotography under the desert sky.
Located en route to Al Ain, just around two hours drive from Dubai Marina, Al Quaa Desert is considered one of the best spots in the UAE that offer a clear and stunning view of the Milky Way.
The event promises a magical mix of storytelling, stargazing, and hands-on photography. The programme includes sky mapping sessions, guided telescope use, and a practical astrophotography workshop.
Tickets are Dhs 200 per person and available via Dubai Astronomy Groups' website. This is a family friendly event, with children under 5 going free. Visitors should bring their Emirates ID and also essentials for comfort and safety, including seats, closed shoes, and cameras.
Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with the starry heavens in one of the UAE’s most breathtaking natural settings. If you are interested in checking out more spots across the UAE for stargazing, check out Connector's story HERE.
