Female Artists Transform Al Quoz With Striking Murals

WAM

Two vibrant new murals by female artists have been unveiled in Al Quoz Creative Zone, marking a bold step in Dubai’s Public Art Strategy. The initiative aims to transform the city into an open-air gallery and empower local talent.

Egyptian artist Rabab Tantawy’s mural, 'Vibrant Voices of Al Quoz', reflects the district’s energy through scenes of spice markets, lanterns, and Arabic coffee pots. Meanwhile, Emirati artist Hend Al Murid and Syrian muralist Dina Saadi collaborated on 'Wonder Windows', a whimsical, symbolic artwork on the façade of the interactive children’s museum WooHoo.

The artworks celebrate the unique spirit of Al Quoz while promoting cultural dialogue and community engagement. Officials at Dubai Culture noted how the initiative supports Dubai’s vision of becoming a global hub for culture and creativity, and makes the area more welcoming to both residents and tourists.

By spotlighting diverse female voices, the project also reinforces Dubai’s commitment to inclusivity and artistic expression in public spaces.
