Time Magazine has revealed its list of 100 Most Influential people of 2019, and none other than His Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has been named in it.
Time Magazine sorts the list into five different categories: pioneers, artists, leaders, icons, and titans, and each selected personality is profiled by another notable influencer.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed was profiled by the geopolitical analyst Ryan Bohl, who wrote “[Sheikh Mohammad’s] military-first approach, which has earned the UAE the nickname of Little Sparta among some U.S. officials, carries costs born of blood in Yemen and reputation in Western capitals. But [Sheikh Mohammad] attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, and he’s a long-term thinker; the firm belief that the benefits outweigh the costs compels him onward.”
His Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed is the only Arab leader to be included on the list, which also features other world leaders such as US President Donald Trump, China Prime Minister Xi Jinping, Pope Francis, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan, New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, and the Prime Minister of Ethiopia Abiy Ahmed.
