The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE) has launched MUSTADEEM, a first-of-its-kind programme to train Emirati youth in sustainability, agriculture, and environmental science. Aimed at students aged 13 to 16 years old, the initiative aligns with the UAE’s Year of Community and national sustainability goals.
Running from 4 to 8 August, the programme offers two parallel tracks. One will be hosted by Silal in Al Ain and another by the International Centre for Biosaline Agriculture in Dubai. Participants will engage in lab research, soil and water testing, crop health workshops, and interactive activities designed to foster problem-solving and critical thinking.
Her Excellency Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, described the programme as a practical step towards building national talent to tackle climate and food security challenges.
By giving youth early exposure to environmental careers, cutting-edge agricultural technology, and scientific innovation, MUSTADEEM aims to create a new generation of leaders who can shape a sustainable, resilient UAE.
