UAE Reaffirms Commitment To Tackling Human Trafficking

The UAE has reaffirmed its commitment to combatting human trafficking, marking World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, observed annually on 30 July, with a call for unified global action.

His Excellency Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, Minister of Justice and Chairman of the National Committee for Combatting Human Trafficking, described the crime as a grave violation of human dignity and stressed the need for sustained efforts across borders.

The UAE continues to invest in advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, to enhance coordination among authorities, improve victim support, and ensure justice is delivered efficiently and transparently.

His Excellency Abdullah also highlighted the country’s growing role in international collaboration, sharing expertise and strengthening partnerships to confront trafficking networks more effectively, and also stressed that eliminating this crime demands collective global action.
