Heavy rains lashed the UAE on Saturday, 13 April leading to the National Centre For Meteorology (NCM) issuing flash flood alerts.
Even though Dubai was safe from the flood situation, the heavy rains created havoc in Ras Al Khaimah. The emirates police gave all manner of support, including logistics, food and medicines to people stranded by the floods. People have been advised to stay in their houses until a rescue team helps them move to a safer place.
Al Nuaimi, the head of the local emergency and crisis management team in Ras Al Khaimah, said, “ The local emergency and crisis management team in Ras Al Khaimah likewise provided the trapped people, whose homes have been wreaked by the torrential rains and flow of valleys, with needed assistance”, affirming that all police departments in the emirate are sparing no efforts to provide necessary support and ensure the public’s safety.”
