It’s every artist’s dream to have their work on display. But, what about having it on display in one of the biggest, most popular spots in the world? That’s unbeatable. Emirati national, Fatma Lootah got just that when her work was chosen to be featured in none other than New York City’s Times Square.
Fatma shared her achievement on her Instagram page
Inspired by “light” her work depicts Emirati culture - as well as the cultures she has seen abroad, through vibrant, animated and emotive brush work.
And she’s come a long way from “drawing on walls” as a child
Lootah’s work was picked up as part of the Nasdaq Artist in Residence project, a movement that embraces upcoming artists from all over the world.
