His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, has approved a series of new policies aimed at boosting education and career development for youth in Dubai.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan underlined the emirate’s commitment to empowering young people with world-class academic and research opportunities, while also praising this year’s graduating students and encouraging them to continue their academic or career journeys with ambition and purpose.
One of the most notable projects approved is the 'Academic and Career Guidance Policy', a framework designed to help students transition from education into the workforce. Schools and universities will be supported in providing better career counselling, ensuring that their graduates can enter careers of their choice.
Other key initiatives include setting up of parents and student engagement programmes, information platforms on universities and the job market, entrepreneurship programmes, life skills camps, and partnerships with accredited local and international universities and training institutes.
The initiatives are part of Dubai’s long-term strategy to strengthen its position as a global hub for education, business and innovation. They align with the Education Strategy 2033 and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aim to attract top-tier universities and provide students with better pathways to success.
