Emirates Offers Advice For Busiest Week Of Summer Travel

Emirates

Dubai’s flagship airline Emirates is bracing for one of its busiest travel weeks of the summer, with more than 30,000 passengers expected to depart daily in Emirates flights from Dubai International Airport between 26 June and 30 June.

To ensure a smooth travel experience, Emirates is urging all passengers to plan for extra traffic on the road, busier car parks and longer queues at immigration.

Passengers are advised to arrive at least three hours before their flight and to complete immigration formalities at least one and a half hours before departure. Boarding gates close 20 minutes before take-off, and passengers must reach their gates a minimum of one hour in advance.

The airline has also recommended travellers to take advantage of digital and early check-in options during this busy period.

Tools And Services To Help Passengers:

  • Emirates App: Enables online check-in, digital boarding passes, live notifications, and travel updates. Online check-in opens 48 hours before departure.

  • Overnight Bag Drop: Passengers can drop off luggage at Terminal 3 up to 24 hours in advance, or 12 hours in advance for US-bound flights.

  • City Check-in: Available at ICD Brookfield Place, DIFC from 8am to 10pm daily, 24 to 4 hours ahead of flight time.

  • Home Check-in: You can also opt to check in at home in Dubai and Sharjah. Agents complete the check-in process at the customer's home, hotel, or office, and take the bags on to the flight so that they can arrive a later time with hand luggage. The service needs to be booked at least 24 hours before a flight.

Transit services like train connections between Concourses A and B, and shuttle buses every 20 minutes between Concourses A and C will be running as usual.  For People of Determination, Emirates continues to offer specialised support, including free parking, priority lanes, and pre-travel planning guides.

Travellers are encouraged to plan early, stay informed, and make use of available services to navigate the busy season with ease.
