Dubai Police have beefed up security across the emirate by deploying 379 mounted patrols, during the first quarter of 2026. Operating in residential, commercial and tourist areas, the patrols supported safety and security and promoted closer communication with families and members of the community.
Lieutenant Colonel Dahi Al Jallaf, Acting Director of the Mounted Police Station said, “These efforts are guided by the directives of His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander in Chief of Dubai Police, with ongoing follow up from His Excellency Major General Hareb Al Shamsi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Sector Affairs, His Excellency Major General Eid Hareb bin Thani, Assistant Commander-in-chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs, and Brigadier Majid Al Suwaidi, Director of the General Department of Police Stations."
Lieutenant Colonel Dahi Al Jallaf explained that the mounted patrols also contributed to securing 67 community events and six sporting events, during the same period.
Lieutenant Colonel Dahi Al Jallaf added that the mounted patrols carry out a wide range of duties, including securing sports matches held across Dubai, participating in community events and public shows, organising endurance races, and supporting therapeutic training programmes for students.
Lieutenant Colonel Dahi Al Jallaf said, “These initiatives are implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Community Empowerment, the Community Development Authority, and the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, reflecting Dubai Police’s commitment to combining security efforts with meaningful community engagement."
