Dubai Airports and Uber have unveiled a dedicated, climate-controlled passenger waiting lounge at Dubai International (DXB) Terminal 3, aiming to streamline ground transport and improve the arrival experience for international travellers and returning residents.
Established in collaboration with the Dubai Civility Committee, the indoor facility is situated at the primary pickup point for Uber and Careem Rides. It offers arriving passengers an air-conditioned space equipped with high-efficiency air purifiers to shield them from high outdoor temperatures during summer months.
The space features ergonomic bench seating built to accommodate large bags, raised tables with seating for professionals working on the move, and charging stations fitted with USB-C, USB-A, and standard electrical sockets. To eliminate curbside bottlenecks, the lounge integrates an organised queuing system for UberX and Careem Comfort vehicles, utilising PIN dispatch technology to accelerate driver-rider matching.
The Terminal 3 facility represents the first phase of a broader initiative by Dubai Airports and mobility operators to enhance airport ground transport, with additional passenger features set to roll out in the coming weeks.
