The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued its official weather bulletin for the weekend of Friday 14, Saturday 15, and Sunday 16 August, forecasting persistent summer heat, rising humidity levels, and localised rainfall across select regions of the UAE.
Internal desert areas will experience maximum temperatures up to 49°C, while coastal zones including Dubai will see daytime highs of 46°C on Friday 14, 45°C on Saturday 15 and 44°C on Sunday 16, and overnight lows of 32°C. Abu Dhabi can expect highs of 47°C on Friday 14, 46°C on Saturday 15 and 45°C on Sunday 16, and lows between 30°C and 33°C.
On Friday 14 August, conditions remain fair to partly cloudy overall, with a probability of light rainfall across Fujairah, Kalba, and Khor Fakkan.
The mostly fair weather continues on Saturday 15 August across major urban corridors, though humidity levels will rise significantly overnight and into Sunday morning. Relative humidity along coastal areas will reach up to 80%, creating prime conditions for fog and mist formation during late-night and early-morning hours.
The coastal and internal regions on Sunday 16 August, face potential reduced road visibility due to mist and thick fog patches in the early morning. Cloudiness will build over eastern and northern regions by afternoon, keeping chances of light showers open along the eastern ridge.
