The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) is forecasting high summer temperatures alongside night-time humidity and localised afternoon rainfall across the United Arab Emirates from Monday 17 August to Thursday 20 August 2026.
Across the country, daytime temperatures are expected to reach highs up to 47°C inland, with coastal regions like Dubai and Abu Dhabi ranging between 42°C and 45°C. Overnight lows across most emirates will hover between 30°C and 34°C.
Relative humidity will climb during the night and early mornings, particularly along coastal stretches of Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah, creating humid conditions and potential morning fog or mist.
Across Dubai and Abu Dhabi on Monday 17 August it is forecast to be fair to mostly sunny with clouds forming over eastern areas by the afternoon that may become convective, bringing a chance of light rain. Maximum temperatures in Dubai will reach 43°C and 44°C in Abu Dhabi, with lows of 32°C in Dubai and 30°C in Abu Dhabi. Humidity will rise overnight, bringing potential morning mist along western coastal stretches.
Partly sunny conditions will prevail Tuesday 18 August, with daytime highs touching 45°C in Dubai and 44°C in Abu Dhabi, and night-time lows of between 30°C and 32°C.
Wednesday 19 August will be mostly sunny with peak temperatures reaching 45°C in Dubai and 44°C in Abu Dhabi, reaching 33°C in Dubai and dropping to 31°C in Abu Dhabi. Clouds over eastern areas including Fujairah and Al Ain may bring isolated rainfall.
Sunny conditions dominate on Thursday 20 August, with maximum temperatures easing slightly in Dubai to 43°C and in Abu Dhabi to 42°C and lows between 30°C and 32°C.
