Sultan Al Neyadi's Return To Earth

Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi is set to make his journey back home on 1 September, after completing a six-month-long mission aboard the International Space Station (ISS).

The journey to Earth will be aboard the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, Endeavour, which will touch down off the coast of Florida.

Crew-6 will return, after handing over duties to Crew-7. Crew-6 is led by Sultan Al Neyadi and includes astronaut Stephen Bowen, Spacecraft Commander at NASA, astronaut Warren Hoburg, Pilot at NASA, and cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev, Mission Specialist at Roscosmos.

NASA said, "During the mission, the crew contributed to hundreds of experiments and technology demonstrations, including student robotic challenges, plant genetics, and human health in microgravity to prepare for exploration beyond low Earth orbit and to benefit life on Earth."

Sultan Al Neyadi is the second Emirati astronaut to go to space, and the first Arab to perform a spacewalk, during the six-month-long mission.

On 2 March, the spacecraft carrying the four members from Crew-6, took off from the Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, and docked at the ISS on 3 March.
