ENOC Bans All Single Use Plastic

ENOC Group has announced that all single-use plastic has been banned at the head office as well as across all operations.

The initiative has banned all straws, cups, single-use water bottles, plastic shopping bags, plastic bottle caps, food wrappers, plastic lids, stirrers and foam takeaway containers and will also slowly reduce paper consumption.

Announced in March 2020, the initiative was launched to slowly phase out the use of plastic.

Over 14 tonnes of plastic waste have since been reduced from entering landfills and Dhs 400,000 was saved, due to the elimination of single-use plastics.

Paper bags, wooden straws, water dispensers with reusable bottles and recyclable lids are now being used as alternatives.
