Abu Dhabi is gearing up to host one of the most innovative sporting events of the year, called the Games of the Future 2025, from 18 to 23 December at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
The event will involve several competitions that combine physical sports and cutting-edge digital games, an emerging hybrid known as 'phygital' sport. The six-day event will bring together the world’s best phygital athletes to compete across 11 disciplines.
With a total prize pool of USD 5 million, phygital clubs and athletes from across the globe will face off in events including phygital football, basketball, fighting, dancing, and shooting fames, alongside tournaments in games such as Battle Royale and multiplayer online battle arena games on computer and mobile.
Fans can also expect high-speed drone racing, immersive VR challenges, and the intense battle of robots.
The Games of the Future 2025 aims to captivate both live audiences and online viewers, making it a must-see for gamers, and sports fans alike. It also positions Abu Dhabi as a global hub for cutting-edge, tech-driven sporting entertainment.
