Abu Dhabi To Host Games Of The Future 2025

Phygital Games of the Future

Abu Dhabi has been officially selected to host the next edition of the Games of the Future in December, marking the first time this global event will be held in the Middle East.

The announcement was made by Phygital International, which cited Abu Dhabi’s visionary leadership, tech-forward infrastructure and world-class venues as key reasons for its selection. The event will take place over six days, from 18 to 23 December, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

Games of the Future 2025 will bring together elite international athletes for competitions that blend physical sports and cutting-edge digital games, an emerging hybrid known as 'phygital' sport.

What to Expect:

  • Competitions combining real-world sports and immersive digital games
  • Global participation with thousands of athletes and fans
  • Youth and school outreach programmes in phygital gaming
  • Interactive fan zones and next-gen tech showcases

The first Games of the Future, held in Turkey in 2024, attracted 2,000 athletes from over 100 countries and 300,000 spectators. With Abu Dhabi stepping into the spotlight, the 2025 edition is expected to set new benchmarks for global phygital sport. Look out for more details that will be announced on Games of Future website
