Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched a major road improvement project to ease traffic congestion at the busy Nad Al Hamar Intersection. The works include adding a new 850-metre lane near Nasser Bin Lootah Mosque, for vehicles heading from Ras Al Khor Road towards Nad Al Hamar Intersection, and also widening the storage lane for vehicles from Al Rabat Street turning left towards Nad Al Hamar.

Once complete, the new lane will increase vehicle capacity from 4,800 to 6,400 vehicles per hour, cutting travel times from 15 minutes to 11 minutes.

The upgrades will benefit commuters heading to Nad Al Hamar, Rashidiya, Al Qusais, and Dubai International Airport, improving connectivity between residential areas and key destinations.

Part of RTA's 2025 Rapid Traffic Improvements, and scheduled for completion by the end of August, the project aims to boost capacity and reduce delays during peak hours.
