141 shops located in various malls in Dubai have been fined for not complying with COVID-19 protocols.
Dubai Police has intensified its inspection campaign in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19, and to ensure that shops are implementing the precautionary measures outlined by the government.
A statement released by Dubai Media Office read, “As part of its efforts to ensure compliance with COVID-19 precautionary measures, Dubai Police issued 141 violations and 1,422 warnings in four shopping malls in the emirate on a single day on Friday, September 11), following inspections carried out by police officers and volunteers.”
Four fines and 542 warnings were issued at the Mall of the Emirates, 92 fines and 620 warnings were issued at four locations in Dubai Mall and nine violation fines and 90 warnings were handed out at four locations in City Centre Mirdif.
Additionally, Dubai Police issued 36 fines and 170 warnings at five locations in Dubai Festival City Mall.
The Dubai Police General Headquarters emphasised its commitment to monitoring violations of precautionary measures as outlined by the Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management in Dubai.
