New procedures have been announced and have come into effect for people entering Abu Dhabi. From 27 August, everyone crossing into Abu Dhabi will need to provide a negative PCR test.
Restrictions on entering Abu Dhabi have been in place since 2 June when entry was not possible form other emirates, and since then extra measures have been in place to contain the spread of coronavirus COVID-19 in Abu Dhabi, which included producing a negative PCR test result at the border and then subsequently taking an alternative negative DPI laser test was accepted.
Now those entering Abu Dhabi need to either provide a negative PCR test result that was taken within the last 48 hours, or provide a negative PCR test result that was taken within the las 6 days but accompanied with a negative DPI laser test that was taken within the last 48 hours.
Volunteers taking part in the coronavirus COVID-19 vaccine trials are exempt from these measures.
