Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the successful rollout of free Wi-Fi services at 21 public bus stations and 22 marine transport stations across the city. Implemented in partnership with telecom provider Etisalat, the initiative is aimed at improving the experience for commuters by enabling them to stay connected while on the move.

The newly installed Wi-Fi service allows passengers to access the internet via smartphones, tablets and laptops as they wait for or transfer between buses and marine services. It reflects RTA’s broader digital transformation strategy, aligning with the UAE’s vision of smart and connected urban living.

For families, workers, and tourists relying on public transport, this move means more productive or entertaining journeys, whether it's catching up on work, navigating travel plans, or simply streaming content.

With the du network already available across Dubai Metro’s Red and Green lines, the addition of Etisalat's service to buses and marine transport brings the city closer to universal digital accessibility.
