Next time you visit Dubai Marina you’ll be seeing new boats gliding on the calm waters. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has replaced several waterbuses with air-conditioned abras which not only are more convenient and comfortable but also give a fantastic view of the landscape of Dubai.
Since the opening of the gorgeous Dubai Water Canal which brought a whole new look to the city, the change is part of RTA’s plan to improve marine transit throughout the Emirate. With marine transit, like Water Taxi and Dubai Ferry, becoming a vital part of Dubai’s public transport and infrastructure, improving transit means improvements for business, tourism and other sectors. And not to worry as service fares will stay the same.
Along with all the improvements, the RTA is providing all of Dubai residents a good reason to hit the docks and take a ride over the serene waters.
