Dubai is reaffirming its commitment to becoming a leader in development driven by technological innovation. During a visit to Google’s offices in Dubai Innovation Hub, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, highlighted the UAE’s strong focus on using technology as a key driver of development.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan stated that Dubai is committed to building a future powered by artificial intelligence and digital transformation, with strategic partnerships, like the one with Google, playing a major role.

Digital transformation in the region is contributing to faster, smarter services, more tech-focused job opportunities and greater access to tools and training. Google, for instance, has already trained over 420,000 people in the region through its ‘Grow with Google’ programme, helping individuals and businesses leverage AI for growth.

During the visit, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan was also briefed about Google Accessibility Discovery Centre in Dubai, the first in the region, which focusses on making technology more inclusive for people of determination.

The visit aligns with Dubai’s Economic Agenda D33, which also aims to put the city firmly on track to lead the global digital economy.
