The Waterfront Market has announced the winner of the sixth edition of The Biggest Catch.
With around 20 years of experience in the fishing industry, Captain Khalifa Suroor Al Shamsi, a 63-year-old Emirati, won the title for catching a kingfish, weighing 30 kilograms.
The annual event brings fishermen together to showcase the biggest catch.
Held on Tuesday, 14 March, from 7pm to 9pm at The Waterfront Promenade, the winner was awarded with a trophy and participants were given commemorative plaques.
