Emirates will now offer international passengers to enhance their airport experience with biometric data.
Held in partnership with the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA), the first of its kind agreement will help provide the best and fastest experience for travellers.
With the help of biometric data on the Emirates app, in 2023, the self check-in kiosks or in person check-in desks will allow a touchless and swift experience at multiple points in Dubai International Airport Terminal 3, during check-in, lounges, boarding and at immigration.
The service was previously only available to UAE residents and GCC nationals.
Additionally, passengers can check-in online 48 hours prior to the flight, by using the online check-in option or or check-in early at the airport and drop off their bags, 24 hours before departure, when flying to the US or Tel Aviv.
In Dubai and Sharjah, home check in will also be available, 24 hours prior, with bags collected.
The self check-in kiosks will be available, by using a mobile phone, where passengers can view the itinerary, choose a seat and add Emirates Skywards numbers at the same time.
