The UAE has once again maintained its position as a global leader in digital transformation, topping international rankings for connectivity, smart services, and innovation.

According to the United Nations E-Government Survey 2024, the UAE achieved a perfect score of 100% in the Telecommunications Infrastructure Index, ranking first globally and reflecting extensive reach and high efficiency of its digital networks.

Ookla’s Speedtest Global Index also confirmed the UAE’s dominance in mobile internet speed from July 2024 to June 2025, with an average download speed of 546.14 megabits per second, far surpassing global competitors.

In 2024 alone, the UAE Government completed over 173 million digital transactions, serving 57 million beneficiaries through 1,419 digital services, achieving a 91% satisfaction rate.

Dubai and Abu Dhabi also ranked fourth and fifth globally, respectively, in the IMD Smart City Index 2025, reflecting advanced infrastructure and quality of life improvements.

The nation continues to lead in artificial intelligence (AI) readiness, topping the region in Oxford Insights’ Government AI Readiness Index. Experts note that the UAE’s people-first approach, combined with AI-driven innovation, is setting new global standards in service delivery, from government transactions to banking, healthcare and retail.

The UAE’s momentum in technology is poised to drive economic growth and innovation for years to come.
