The number of private schools in the UAE has increased to 216, with four new schools opening during the 2022 to 2023 academic year.
As part of the latest data from the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), private schools offer students 17 different curricula to choose from.
36% of students in private schools attend UK curriculum schools, followed by 26% of students attending Indian curriculum schools, and 15% attending American curriculum schools.
Among Emirati students, 60% are enroled in American curriculum schools, followed by 24% attending UK curriculum schools.
Additionally, enrolment rates have increased by 4.5% this academic year, with over 326,000 students from 187 nationalities attending private schools.
