More COVID-19 restrictions have now been lifted in the UAE, as part of phase two of easing restrictions.
The changes have already come into effect and were announced by the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) during a media briefing.
The Green Pass on the Al Hosn App, which was required for entry into public places in Abu Dhabi, is no longer required.
The App will still be used for vaccination proof as well as PCR test results when required.
Wearing face masks is now optional in open and closed spaces, including at places of worship and mosques, where it was previously mandatory.
Praying on personal mats at mosques is also now optional.
Face masks are still mandatory at health facilities and centres for people of determination.
Organisers for sporting activities and events, at national and local levels, based on the type of activity, can ask for pre-examinations or vaccination certificates.
COVID-19 PCR testing and treatment centres will continue to operate, and a five-day quarantine period is still in place for individuals that have tested positive for COVID-19.
The daily cases will continue to be updated on the Ministry of Health and Prevention, the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre, and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority websites.
