The Beach Games Festival in Dubai has launched today.
Running until 6 November, the festival is held at Kite Beach in Umm Suqeim.
Happening in Dubai for the first time, the festival will see two international championships held.
The Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup, organised by Dubai Sports Council for the 11th successive year along with FIFA’s Beach Soccer Committee, will be a part of the festival from 1 to 6 November.
At the sub-pitches, the World Beach Volleyball Pro Tour and the Badminton Championship will also be held.
The main stadium can accommodate 3,000 people, and the sub-pitches 200 people.
Entry is free, and food trucks and games for children will also be held throughout the festival.
