The Dubai Land Department (DLD) has notified all property owners, developers, management companies and tenants to register the number of people living in each property.
The notifications were sent on Friday 23 September with the details needed to be completed within 2 weeks.
The mandatory information applies to owned as well as rented properties.
Registering all co-occupants is to be done through the DLD's application, the Dubai REST app, and should include the co-occupants name, their Emirates ID or passport number if they are not a UAE resident. All co-occupants who are living in the property for more than one month need to be included.
