Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) along with arcab have signed an agreement to launch a digital platform.
The platform will play a vital role in generating demand for networks by opening routes for medium-sized buses, ultimately attracting new users and is flexible to undertake changes in mobility and journeys to match demand patterns.
Operational initially in two districts in Dubai, the first route will be from International City/Dubai Silicon Oasis and Jebel Ali Free Zone and the second route from International City and JLT.
After a three-month trial, the service will expand to 12 districts in Dubai.
The agreement will provide the necessary technology needed for managing micro-mobility networks to save operational expenses.
RTA and arcab, in partnership with Dubai Future Accelerators, will introduce arcab Traveler, a new service in the UAE that will assist people in travelling to and from work and home daily.
The service is an extension of the RTA services, which include smart services, e-hailing, shared transport and Bus-On-Demand.
