A Look Into The Life Of President Sheikh Khalifa

His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, passed away on Friday, 13 May.

To celebrate the great leader's life, here is a look at his life.

His Highness Sheikh Khalifa was born on 7 September 1948 at Qasr Al Muwaiji in Al Ain in Abu Dhabi.

Hs Highness Sheikh Khalifa lived with his family at the Al Muwaiji Fort and studied at the first school in the city.

Over the years, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa was nominated as the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi on 1 February 1969 and the Head of the Department of Defence in Abu Dhabi, the following day.

On 3 November 2004, High Highness Sheikh Khalifa succeeded and became the Emir of Abu Dhabi and President of the United Arab Emirates, following the passing of his father, His Highness Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Throughout his rule, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa has made decisions and taken initiatives to increase the quality of the life of his people as well as develop the country in the best way possible.

The initiatives helped in the country's political, administrative, social, cultural, and economic development and will see the future rulers looking to him as an example of great leadership.
