Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the launch of its Academic Scholarship Programme for the 2025-26 academic year, selecting 20 Emirati students to study at leading UAE universities. The initiative is part of RTA’s long-term strategy to nurture national talent and meet the Emiratisation goals of equipping future leaders with world-class skills.

The Academic Scholarship Programme, an annual RTA initiative, sponsors between 10 and 20 students each year. By investing in these future professionals, RTA aims to strengthen its ability to deliver innovative solutions that address Dubai’s mobility and infrastructure challenges while supporting the UAE’s broader development vision.

The chosen students will pursue degrees in vital fields such as electrical and electronic engineering, artificial intelligence, civil and mechanical engineering, robotics and information systems. Participating universities include the American University of Sharjah, University of Sharjah, University of Dubai, Zayed University, and the Higher Colleges of Technology.

Beyond funding, the programme offers students career guidance and familiarisation with RTA’s projects, ensuring they are prepared to contribute to Dubai’s growing infrastructure and transport sectors upon graduation.
