Dubai Police urged delivery riders to adhere to traffic and road rules to ensure their safety.
In 2021, 257 drivers got into severe traffic accidents which led to the death of 22 people and left 253 injured.
The accidents took place due to traffic violations by either speeding, using their phones while driving, swerving suddenly, overtaking from the hard shoulder, not complying with road signs and not leaving enough space in front of another vehicle.
A series of workshops and lectures are held to raise awareness on road safety.
