The UAE has extended the existing ban on drones until further notice.

Announced by The Ministry of Interior along with General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), the ban also includes the use of light sports aircraft.

People that have signed work contracts or commercial projects that require the use of drones, need to contact the GCAA to receive approval for use.

Residents or tourists found not adhering to the law, will be imprisoned for six months to five years and will have to pay a fine of at least Dhs 100,000.
