His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has inaugurated the opening of the Sharjah Safari Park.
The safari park has been five years in the making and has created unique sanctuaries for the animals to live in.
The park is made up of 12 different environments over an area of 8 square kilometres.
The different environments all mimic the natural regions of Africa with over 100,000 African Acacia trees planted alongside local trees.
Visitors can see the black rhino, which is a critical and rare animal, flamingos, the Aldabra giant tortoise and more.
The safari park is open throughout the week from 8.30am to 6.30pm.
Tickets are available on a three-tier basis, with gold, silver and bronze packages.
Prices range from Dhs 15 to Dhs 40 in the bronze category, Dhs 25 to Dhs 120 in the silver and from Dhs 275 to Dhs 3,500 for the gold category which will take visitors on a tour in luxury cars.
