Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has urged all individuals eligible to receive their booster shot, six months after taking their second dose.
Individuals that have taken the Sinopharm vaccine, especially people in the vulnerable categories including people with chronic diseases and individuals aged 50 and above, can take the booster shot three months after their second dose.
All individuals that are aged 16 and above can take the booster six months after the second dose.
The Pfizer-BioNTech booster shot can be taken six months after taking the second dose by all individuals aged 18 and above.
Individuals that have been administered with other vaccines, need to go to the nearest vaccination centre and enquire about which booster shot they are eligible to take.
In the UAE, 100% of the population has received their first dose with 92.31% of the population, fully vaccinated.
The vaccination will help in ensuring the safety of all and giving additional protection.
