The National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has announced that there has been an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in the UAE, due to the new Omicron variant.
In order to offer additional protection to all, regular testing and precautionary measures will be taken.
Medical teams are also ready for all possible scenarios.
Individuals are advised to get vaccinated as well as take their booster shots, to help increase immunity to fight the virus.
Precautionary measures including sanitising, social distancing and wearing face masks are mandatory.
To ensure a safe and socially distanced New Year celebration, 29 firework shows will take place, all over Dubai.
The Dubai Police have also reminded the public that a Dhs 3,000 fine will be given for not wearing face masks.
