Dubai's well established Irish themed restaurant Fibber Magee's, is helping families and individuals in need throughout the month of December.
For every meal sold at Fibber Magee's, a meal will be donated to families and individuals that are facing difficulties.
The meals are distributed by a registered Dubai Municipality Food Bank, every two days.
Each meal box will include a freshly cooked dish that is high in protein and carbohydrates, a bottle of water, a soft drink and fruit, and prepared at Fibber Magee's central kitchen.
When Dubai first went into lockdown, Fibber Magee's ran a similar initiative and over 1,000 meals were distributed to individuals that were affected due to the pandemic.
Ross Matthews Smith of Fibber Magee's said, "As a business owner, I feel I have a responsibility to not only look after the interest of my staff and patrons, but to also have a positive impact on society, whether that be giving benevolently to such causes, or even having a positive environmental impact. We hope this small gesture will give some support and comfort to disadvantaged families in Dubai this Christmas."
