Cartoon Network Middle East along with UNICEF Regional Office in the Middle East and North Africa have launched an anti-bullying campaign.
The initiative aims to produce and promote content that talks about the negative aspects of bullying through the CN Buddy Network.
The campaign shows children and parents the effects of bullying, both online and in real life.
Till 21 November, a new series of programmes will be aired including a music video by Humood Alkhudher, a Kuwaiti star, a rap track from Laith the King characters as well as a series of awareness videos.
Children will be encouraged to stop bullying, provide solutions to counter bullying and highlight the importance of being kind.
Juliette Touma, Regional Chief of Advocacy and Communications at UNICEF Middle East and North Africa said, "Bullying can have harmful and long-lasting consequences on children, affecting their emotional and mental wellbeing. We are happy to cooperate with Cartoon Network Middle East on the CN Buddy Network campaign – a key initiative to protect children from the scourge of bullying."
Internationally, this week is anti-bullying week.
