The UAE's Golden Jubilee Celebrations Committee has announced that the official ceremony for the 50th UAE National Day will take place in Hatta.
The show will be streamed live on 2 December at 5.30pm on all local TV channels and on the official National Day website.
Individuals can also watch the show in Hatta from 4 to 12 December.
Hatta is equidistant from all the seven emirates and offers scenic views of dams, lakes and valleys as well as historical monuments.
In recent years, in an effort to make Hatta a tourist hotspot, several development projects have taken place with plans for a beach, a new lake and a transport system for the mountain slopes also announced.
Shaikha Al Ketbi, Head of Creative Strategy of the Year of the 50th said, "The Official 50th UAE National Day celebration will feature a spectacular show highlighting the deep connections between people, nature and technology. Staged in Hatta Dam and surrounded by the Hajar mountains, the floating theatrical experience will take viewers on a journey through the land's history in the lead up to the inception of the union and across the 50 years that followed. Through unparalleled creative and artistic storytelling, the show will also shed light on the achievements of today and offer a unique glimpse into the promising future that awaits everyone who calls the UAE home."
Tickets are now available on the UAE National Day website.
